TTN Bloody Mary with Plume & Petal
Who else loves a good ol’ Bloody Mary with brunch? I wanted to create a Bloody Mary mix from scratch to go with my Plume & Petal Cucumber Splash vodka, instead of buying a premade mix from the store. This Best Bloody Mary Recipe from Heidi of Foodie Crush is divine!
When I lived in Florida, a local restaurant offered a Bloody Mary bar on the weekends. BRILLIANT IDEA! I chose the amount of Bloody Mary mix with my vodka, and there were a plethora of toppings from pickled okra to the essential celery stalk to fill my drink with. You know I chose many pickled ingredients for this Bloody Mary!
The Cucumber Splash from Plume & Petal is perfect for a Bloody Mary, since cucumbers are used in this cocktail! Plume & Petal has half the alcohol content of standard vodka - 20% - and is super smooth, because it has been distilled six times. Never made with artificial sweeteners and infused with cucumber, lemongrass, & chamomile tea with a hint of honey.
Recipe
Bloody Mary Mix (with a few modifications)
Ingredients
46 ounce - 100% tomato juice
3 tablespoons creamy hot horseradish
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons celery salt
3 teaspoons garlic salt
Tabasco sauce
Freshly ground black pepper
Plume & Petal Cucumber Splash
Optional, but what I used for mine
Cucumber
Sliced pickle
Bamboo skewer
Pickled okra
Pickled beets
Cooked shrimp
Cheese
Olives
Celery
Lemon
Lime
Instructions
Mix the tomato juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, garlic salt, and black pepper in a large pitcher. Season with 30 shakes of Tabasco sauce, and add more, if desired. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight to have the flavors meld.
Put celery salt in a small plate. Dip the rim of the glass in a shallow amount of water, then dip into the celery salt and twist. Fill a glass to the top with ice. Add 1.5 ounces of Plume & Petal Cucumber Splash and top with the Bloody Mary mix.
Add cucumber slices, a celery stalk, and a sliced pickle in the glass. Take a skewer and add the pickled okra, pickled beet, cube of cheese, olive, and a pickled carrot slice from the pickle jar.
Garnish with a slice of lemon. Squeeze the lemon into the drink, when you’re ready to relax. Enjoy!
Let me know what you think of this Bloody Mary! It is delicious!
Stay TTN!
